Maya Pindyck is the author of Friend Among Stones, a book of poems from New Rivers Press, and Locket, Master, which received a Poetry Society of America Chapbook Fellowship. Her artwork has been shown at the House of Art and Multimedia (H.A.M.) in Berkeley, Berliner Kunstprojekt in Berlin, 450 Broadway Gallery in New York City, and elsewhere. A recipient of the Many Voices Project Award, Bellingham Review’s 49th Parallel Poetry Award, and fellowships from the Community of Writers at Squaw Valley and the Vermont Studio Center, she holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and an M.A. in Education from the New York City Teaching Fellows program. She lives and teaches in Brooklyn.
