Re/Touch

Re/Touch was a performance of Bruce Nauman's "Body Pressure" (1974) on a bus stop wall in New York City for the Art in Odd Places BODY public art festival. Responding to the isolating impacts of capitalism, Re/Touch prompted fresh connections to the city's body. For the related exhibition at Westbeth Gallery, Nauman’s instructions were assembled into a poem and accompanied by small documentary photographs, legible when standing close to the gallery wall.
